Outdoor Activities;
I've been an outdoorsman all of my life, I love to hunt, fish, camp, hike, you name it, I'll probably like it. Below are some pictures of my hunting trips and the game that I have harvested.
A couple of years back, myself and some friends of mine decided to go to Tennessee wild boar hunting in the Cumberland Mountains. We all eventually scored on a hog and had so much fun that I swore I would go again. Well, here are some pictures of the 2005 trip.
I'm a pretty big guy, but true strain wild boars, from what I'm told don't come much bigger than the one I got this year. I'm not afraid of these animals, but any thing that can take three hits from a .44 magnum before it goes down for good definitely has my respect. This boar had two solid hits in him when he decided he was going to charge me and have a hunk of my ass. The third shot put him down for good but not before I got the bejesus scared out of me.
Deer Hunting
I've been an avid deer hunter most of my adult life. I've hunted these magnificent animals with both archery equipment and firearms. As an archery hunter, I learned very quickly that there are alot of things that come into play that aren't and issue when gun hunting.
The whitetail has humbled and frustrated me on more occasions than any other animal I have ever hunted. I had one see me perched in a tree stand, stomp it's hoof, snort and put 30 feet between me and it in the blink of an eye, and only touch the ground once.
I think of myself primarily as a meat hunter, but, below are some pictures of the best trophy buck I've taken to date.
He was one of three bucks chasing a hot doe during the rut. I heard them coming before I could see them and had time to get ready for the shot. The doe ran directly underneath my tree stand and I figured that the biggest buck would be the one closest to her. I was right and as soon as he presented me with a shot, I took it. He only went about fifty yards before he went down. I never lost sight of him, and I watched him fall. He turned out to be a very nice 9 pointer.
